About Paris Est
Marne & Bois
Paris Est Marne & Bois is an intercommunality located in the eastern Paris metropolitan area, committed to building a sustainable, innovative and attractive territory. Through its Territory for Sustainable and Innovative Development (TDI) strategy, the intercommunality actively supports innovation, experimentation and cooperation between public actors, startups and research partners to accelerate ecological and digital transitions.
Beyond supporting startups, Paris Est Marne & Bois also develops and deploys concrete innovation projects at territorial scale, combining data, artificial intelligence and environmental impact:
- AMELIA, a frugal artificial intelligence project designed to produce dynamic, real-time maps of air quality and noise pollution, supporting data-driven decision-making on mobility, urban planning and environmental policies.
- Marne & Bois Solar Map, an innovative solar cadastre platform enabling residents and businesses to assess the solar potential of their buildings and estimate the economic and environmental benefits of photovoltaic installations.
- Natural river swimming in the Marne, with the launch of the first supervised bathing sites in natural river water, supported by a predictive water quality system and continuous monitoring. This project is developed in collaboration with local startups, combining real-time data, predictive modeling and environmental sensors to ensure safety, transparency and water quality tracking. These projects illustrate how Paris Est Marne & Bois leverages AI, data and local innovation to deliver real, measurable impact, positioning the territory as a living lab for sustainable and responsible innovation.
For our startups, CES® means:
